The ability to turn a watermark on and off. For example if I'm doing a virtual reveal of images for sale that haven't yet been paid for, the watermark ability would reduce the likelihood of screenshots (more for portraits/boudoir than wedding/event)

Without watermark i can not use your galleries, so now i use pixieset, which is cheap and is nice to add watermarks.
So i can send the gallery of a family session to my client. They choose their best by clicking the heart icon and so they can not steal the photos from pixieset without watermark :)
It gives me a lot of time (i dont have to add my photos with a mark first in LR, its all done in one click in pixieset and i can send the chosen picture right away. programming this must be easy (put a layer on top ) and its done :)

Same here: The ability to turn a watermark on and off. For example if I'm doing loads of familiy shoots where they can choose and buy their own choice of photos. So upselling!
The watermark ability would reduce the likelihood of screenshots (more for family and loveshoots/boudoir than wedding/event). Wothout mark they can "steal" the photo by making a screenshot of it on a hi res screen :(

additional suggestion: enable option for watermarking separated for print and web version images.
